Sew Glad We're Friends: CD{91}

Happy hump day, everyone!  We're halfway through the first week of January.  I hope the new year is treating you well so far.  I've got a bright and cheerful color combination for today's Color Dare to share with you!  Riley has challenged us with Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise and Pear Pizzazz--love it!  So bright and sunny.  I couldn't wait to paper pieces these sweet mannequins from the Sew Suite set from the new spring Mini Catalog.
I stamped the mannequins in Early Espresso directly onto designer series paper in all the challenge colors and snipped them out quicker than you might think!  The Tempting Turquoise polka dot gal is the only one popped up on stampin' dimensionals:

The set includes a measuring tape stamp which I inked in Crumb Cake and stamped directly above the main panel.  To line it up just right, I first laid the main panel down on my card base without adhesive.  Using my grid paper I could line up where I needed to stamp the measuring tape.  With the clear stamps, perfect placement is easy!
One final detail is the sentiment panel.  I stamped the measuring tape in Pear Pizzazz ink onto a scrap of Pear Pizzazz paper.  Then I overstamped one of the sentiments from an oldie but goodie set, Puns from the Past in Early Espresso ink.
I popped it out with the Modern Label punch and pushed a Tempting Turquoise glimmer brad through the end of the measuring tape for the sparkling touch!  And a quick shot of the inside:
I hope you like it!  Be sure to check out the inspiring work of the other Design Team members below and then try your hand at these happy colors.  Upload your creation at the Color Dare blog with keyword CD91.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

    Nance, I LOVE your card. I also like how you combined it with Pun from the Past. (love that set too and I use it often). So glad we'll be able to combine the two sets.
    I especially like how you only popped the one maniquin.. really gives it depth dimension. So clever. The back stamping has become one of my favorite ways to embellish and inside is "sew" perfect!!! Love it.
