A Harvest of Thanks {PP107}

Happy Sunday, friends!  Delighted you could join me for another week with The Paper Players where I am pleased to host a theme challenge:
I couldn't wait to use the sweet little apples in the Perfectly Preserved stamp set, from the Holiday Mini catalog.
Selecting the colors is so easy when the designer paper--Orchard Harvest used here--leads the way!  Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Raspberry Ripple are the perfect combination of country rustic and fresh modern.  I used three different patterns of dsp for the banners--consciously selecting smaller patterns that feature one or all of the main colors.
Love the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and it's coordinating Cannery Framelits.  I couldn't resist making not one, not two but three Raspberry Ripple apples!
Early Espresso Core'dinations Cardstock makes it easy to create the weathered wood look of the background.  After embossing with the Woodgrain embossing folder, a light rub from a sanding block reveals the light colored inner core of the paper.  And that cute jar lid?  Yep, that's a Framelit too!  Stamped in Island Indigo, wrapped in Linen Thread and finished with some Island Indigo ruffled ribbon and secured with a Vintage Trinket safety pin.

So, what do you think?  Inspired to join us?  Maybe some fabulous projects from the rest of the Design Team will get you thinking Back to School!
 The Paper Players Design Team

I hope you will join us at The Paper Players--before the challenge ends on Friday, August 10th at Noon (PST).  Thanks for stopping by!

Nance this is so sweet, and the DSP sure does take the guessing out of color combos too. I really like the way the DTs use twine to wrap the lid. Your little safety pin is adorable to hand a tiny tag.
Love the jar and fruit. My 'bundle' of the this set is on it's way. Can't to play. Hugs

So much to see in this card, love the little apples & their stems in the jar, the sideways pennants (or whatever they're called) really add so much to the wood grain background and all the little details! (there that's the longest run-on sentence ever).
Luv,
Mom

Hi Nance! Hooray for finally staying awake for more then a couple of hours at a time so I can finally stop by and visit your adorable card! Love, love, LOVE the mix of patterns and the jar of apple-tastic goodness. As always, your details are what really set this card into a class all it's own. You rock, my friend! Big hugs! Sorry I couldn't play along with your fun challenge this week but I'm cheering everyone on from the sidelines. Whoo hoo! :)
