So cute…now I remember why I didn’t get rid of this
stamp set! I wanted to use up some more
of my designer paper and thought this cherry paper would coordinate perfectly
with the cupcake. I covered my thick
Whisper White base with this pattern from the [retired] Cherry On Top DSP
stack. I used some [contraband] Wonky
Stitched Rectangle dies from My Favorite Things to cut my focal panel out of Watermelon
Wonder cardstock. My teammies all use these wonky stitched dies
often and I just had to have them! I
stamped the main image several times fussy-cutting each layer. First the whole thing was stamped in Pool
Party and cut out. I then stamped again
in Watermelon Wonder ink for the cupcake and Soft Suede on Crumb Cake cardstock
for the cupcake liner. So you can’t tell
in this pic but the cupcake, cherry and heart all sparkle with a liberal
application of Wink of Stella—I mean really because if you’re gonna have a
cupcake, it should sparkle, right?!
The inside needed a little something extra beyond just the
stamping so I cut a frame from the same Cherry on Top DSP to decorate the
sentiment. This sweet sentiment is from
[yet another] retired set called Remembering Your Birthday and while I didn’t
use pink on this card, I thought the sentiment fit well with the sweet treat
theme of today’s card.
