Confetti Ornaments for Merry Monday {MM134}

Hi all, me again on a Monday! Crazy, right?! I love that being a featured designer at Merry Monday this month forces me to post on Monday too.   This week Wendy is our hostess with another beautiful holiday challenge:
Ornaments in silver/gray and blue?  Oh my, just a few of my favorite things!  I was short on crafty time so I went with a pretty clean and simple route on this one but still (I think) held true to the challenge:
This is my first time inking up the Dotty Angles stamp set and I am in LOVE!  It provides the perfect look of falling festive confetti doesn't it?  I actually embossed it onto the Smoky Slate cardstock twice.  First with white embossing powder and again (just stamping slight off the first one) with silver embossing powder.  I love this look!
I do not have any of the current ornament stamps from Stampin' Up so I made my own using a retired set called Ornament Keepsakes and the coordinating Framelits.  The ornament was stamped first and then popped up an added detail to the center.  The silver ornament was stamped with Versamark onto Silver Foil paper, embossed with silver powder and cut with the ornament framelit.  The Pool Party ornament is just stamped with PP ink on PP cardstock and the center is embossed on Silver Foil paper with Pool Party embossing powder.  A few silver embellishments in the Silver Ribbon, Frosted Sequins and [retired] silver cord and that was all it needed!

I hope you'll stop by and take a look at all the inspiration from the Merry Monday Design Team...there's always fabulous creations to behold!  Thanks for stopping by today, friends!  Be sure to come back tomorrow when I will (gasp!) have another weekday post for you!

Did somebody say bling? {PP115}

Happy Paper Players Sunday, friends!  Anne Marie has a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us this week.  Just pick any three options up, down or diagonally to create your project:
You might be able to tell from the title of this post that I went with the top row: Christmas, Sparkle/Bling and Ribbon.
And there's a lot of bling on this one!  I love silver and gold for the Holidays and with this simple color palette and the aid of the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle stamp and coordinating Framelits, this card came together super quick!  The Crumb Cake base is a subtle match to the gold and I topped it with some embossed Very Vanilla (I wish SU didn't retire this folder!)and a flagged banner of Silver Glimmer paper.  More sparkle, anyone?  :-)
These ornaments are so pretty and simple to make with the coordinating Framelits.  I love how the extra little center piece nestles in there and gives it a vintage look.  A small piece of Very Vanilla 1/4" grosgrain ribbon becomes an ornament holder and I added a little knot with a glue dot.
I hope you will join us this week for Anne Marie's fun challenge at The Paper Players before Friday, October 5th at Noon (PST).  Be sure to check out the fabulous projects from the rest of the Design Team ladies, they hit it out of the park!
