A Spot of Tea: {APP10}

Oh my goodness, this week's color combo at The Paper Players is GORGEOUS. So rich and luxurious. Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. Doesn't that just scream dessert? Of course, the inspiration photo Lesley chose sure helps! When I think of dessert I think of either a big glass of cold milk (I'm funny that way!) or...a warm pot of tea! This sweet little teapot is inked up in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla cardstock. I used my Big Shot to emboss the Early Espresso card base with the Elegant Lines Impressions Folder--so pretty! And look how the elegant swirls repeat in the Elegant Soiree designer paper. Crumb Cake is just one of the beautiful colors in this paper that combines masculine stripes with elegant vines and leaves.
And look at this...I could not have planned this if I tried! When I finished everything else, I was all set to put a few bitty pearls on the leaves of the branch when my daughter said "Mama put them in those dots coming out of the teapot so it will look like steam!" Oh.my.gosh. How cute is that?! My little crafting girl made me proud with that idea! Have you purchased some of SU's new adhesive Basic Pearls, yet? You must have some!

OK, on to the inside and a matching teacup filled with a very special blend. How true...I love the ritual of tea and it's better sharing a cup with a friend. My favorite is Irish Breakfast...dark and stormy...what's yours?

Oh I am so glad you were able to play with my colors! Now here is where we are NOT alike....I do like my milk and chocolate chip cookies, but truthfully, I need COFFEE, not tea, with my dessert!!! But since this is SUCH an adorable card with SUCH fun embellishments and SUCH a cute inside, I will not hold it against you that you don't share my coffee fetish!!! LOL, just teasin'! But you are making me hanker for those PTI goodies...just so cute! Thanks for playing with my colors this week! :D And tell your daughter she is a genius.

This one is just so charming, Nance! I am going to have to get the Elegant Lines folder because I love everything you've done with it. The Tea for Two set is also near the top of my wish list! Love this rich combination of colors, the way you've finished the inside (as always!), and the adorable little pearls of "steam" coming out of the teapot. How lucky you are to have such a crafty little helper!

What a fabulous way to use the colours this week Nance...I love that darling teapot and the pearls as steam...what a clever daughter you have! The inside is equally as beautiful. I have to agree with LeAnne...I LOVE coffee with my dessert...yum! Although I do drink lots of tea in the winter...my fav is Chai. Thank for joining us again...
Smiles,
Lesley :)

That little one of yours has inherited the talents of her mom and grandmother for sure! This is one of my all time favorites of yours....maybe because I am a tea drinker!
