Fabric Pin class

We had so much fun at the fabric pin class that I just had to share the pictures with you! Prior to the class, and with some help from my mom, we cut many samples of fabric for everyone to choose from:Everyone arrived and there was no time to waste!

We made two flower pins. The first one using the Flower Folds die which I detailed in this post here and was inspired by the Stamp Shack Lady. The ladies chose their fabrics and from a selection of brads, buttons and embellishments adorned their flowers. And look at what they made!

Aren't they beautiful?! After all these, we wanted to make more! Everyone made a second pin using the heated fabric technique. We cut 4-6 layers of fabric using the 3 largest circles on the Circle #2 die, attached them together with a brad and singed the edges with a heat gun. The technique is detailed on the Stamp Shack--what a great source of inspiration! It's great fun to watch the fabric shrink up and form beautiful flowers like these:

Don't they look like pansies? We hope this inspires you to make your own!

Nance, How pretty! You really had a nice group and it looks like the gals had blast. ALL the pins turned out so pretty and what a great assortment of color! Wow that is a huge supply of fabric too. Hope it's from a stash.
The heat shrunk type REALLY DO look like pansies! GREAT JOB everyone. What fun.
Is that your mom with the apron on??? Is that an SU apron??? Wonder who's going to be your next downline?

oh, the flowers look even lovelier in the picture, didn't really get a long look at most of them. I certainly had a great time and it was fun craftin' with all your Stamp Club ladies, very nice group, wouldn't mind belonging too. Happy brooch making to all of you, great job!

I am planning on having a fabric pin class and I was wondering (if you don't mind me asking) what you charged for your class and you made two pins and you furnished everything?
