Going Places, Going Global PP284

Hey friends, the always awesome Claire has a fabulous sketch for us this week at The Paper Players...check it out:
It's a great one, isn't it?  So, in looking at my stamp sets....the Going Global set really called out to me and a masculine card was the result, take a look...
Claire's sketch was perfect for combining papers from the Going Places designer series paper stack.  And with the Going Global stamp set it was a natural combination.  I kept the colors neutral--Basic Black and Sahara Sand--with just a pop of a Real Red heart.
It's a really simple card--I let the papers do the work--and with the masculine look, I held back on any embellishments.  I did add a little extra dimension by fussing cutting a second compass.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's fabulous inspiration over at The Paper Players.  Then, grab your craft supplies and join us before the challenge closes on Friday, March 4th at Noon (PST).

What a great masculine card...they're always a challenge for me! I love the details, especially the fussy-cut compass! I know how your family loves traveling, so I know SOMEONE will enjoy getting this for sure!

It is a fabulous card, you really did it up right. Love the neutral colors and the designer paper is just a perfect little backdrop, kinda looks like mountains, or maybe that's what it is!

You certainly made this set shine. I love the monochrome feel with the pop of bright red. One of my favorite cards I've seen using this set.
