I don't think this is a spoiler because I am certain she already opened her card...Happy Birthday, LeAnne! I hope your day is as wonderful as you are. :-) The feathers were inspired by a trick Shelli Gardner shared on stage at convention. You won't believe how they are made--so simple! The shape is die cut with one of the leaves from the Flower Fair Framelits and the little notches were made with just the very tip of the star in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Here are some pix I took from the big screen during convention so you can see what I mean:
Isn't that fantastic?! Needless to say, I couldn't wait to rush home and make feathers! And three of them found their way onto LeAnne's card. We have so many great accent stamp sets now and the Work of Art set is just one of them. I love the way it adds a splash of color behind the sentiment
And it worked equally as well to bring in all the colors to the inside of the card. The "birthday" sentiment looks crooked but I swear it's just the angle of the photo--it's straight IRL! So there you have it, LeAnne's special (and colorful) birthday card! Do drop by her blog today and wish her a wonderful day...Happiest of Birthdays, roomie!

edited to add: I forgot to mention that my layout came from last week's fabulous sketch at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. It's a good one!
