Firstly, I have to apologize for the quality of these photos....I was in a hurry to photograph and schedule this post before leaving for a weekend [birthday!] trip so I had to use indoor lighting with my phone--gah! Anyway, LeAnne's awesome sketch was a perfect chance to use the big script on this retired set called Bravo:
I can't believe it....our daughter graduates from 8th grade on Tuesday! Oh my, I'm getting weepy just thinking about it...but so happy for all the opportunities that await her in high school. So this card is for her...and I didn't worry about retired products or colors or anything, just created with her in mind. Done in colorful pastels, with a little bit of sparkle and personalization, I think she will love it.
First the sparkle...some shiny silver thread, some Wink of Stella on the "you" and a silver punched star because...well, she's our shining star!
Here's the personalized part...I used the rotary alphabet stamp to create a repeated sentiment with the acronym of her school and graduation year...MMS 2018. I didn't want the circle to cover up the larger sentiment so I tucked it behind the main panel. A little different than the sketch but I don't think LeAnne will mind that I took a little creative license. ;-)
The inside features another retired favorite...Word Play...I just love the scale and mixed font of this sentiment so I couldn't let it go. Good thing to because it's perfect for graduation cards! I'm sure I'll dig it out in another 4 years for her high school graduation....YIKES!
Be sure to pop over to The Paper Players and check out all the inspiration from my teammates--they do lovely work! Maybe you will be inspired to join us before the challenge ends on Friday, June 1st at Noon (PST). Thanks for stopping by!

This is amazing! I love the way you've personalised it for your daughter. The colours work well together and you've made such excellent choices in embellishments. I have a rotary stamper and I'd forgotten all about it until I saw the great thing you'd done with it on the circle. WOW!
A perfect card for your daughter! She will love it, and congrats to her. Enjoy these days, as they go by too quickly!!!!
I just love this card...I never got to use this paper very much, so it is like walking down memory lane seeing it put to good use!!! The sentiment is perfect and I love all the little sparkles! And I love that Word Play on the inside too...such a great sentiment! I am sure Arden will love it too!
Nance this card is fabulous and I love how you used the swishes behind the sentiment. It really makes a statement! Love it and so will the receiver! Hugs
Nance, that sentiment was so perfect for this sketch! Great graduation card, and I love the colors.
This is such a beautiful, heartfelt graduation card. Love the pastels and all the special touches just for your daughter. I was too late for your birthday but hope you had a wonderful celebration, Nance! Hugs, Annie
Nance, I love everything about this card for your beautiful Arden! I still have this paper and those stamps sets. I will keep them--retired or not, they make a beautiful card. I love the way you stamped the acronym and year with the rotary stamp! I know she will cherish this special card forever! Graduation and your birthday all at one time! What a wonderful time to celebrate! Sending you a big hug. Those milestones moments make our heart burst with pride! XXX
I just love this Nance and I'm sure Arden did too! So beautifully personalised - isn't that the reason we make cards? I love it. I kept that inside stamp too - I loved that set! I have so enjoyed your FB photos this week. You know what they say - as one door closes, another door opens - I hope High School is every bit as memorable!
