Colorful Critters for the New Year

Happy New Year, friends!  I had a nice little bloggy break and ready to start the new year in crafty style.  I hope you're having a restful and relaxing first day of 2015.  The dust has finally settled from the holidays and I was able to play with my sneak peek items from the upcoming Spring Occasions catalog.  Here are the thank you cards I made for our daughter to send out:

The Colorful Critters stamp set was a last minute add to my order and I'm so glad I bought it.  These little guys and gals are so cute.  I paired them with a sentiment from Another Thank You photopolymer set--it was perfecetly sized to fit inside their signs.

Gotta show you a close up of these cuties.  I colored them with Blendabilities--here using two shades of Daffodil Delight.  My favorite thing is the little circles of blush I added with the lightest marker in the Skin Tone assortment.  Each little critter shows his heartfelt thanks with an itty bitty heart from the Owl Builder Punch.

I needed to leave a fair amount of room for DD's writing but I couldn't just leave it completely blank!  I stamped another critter and colored her exactly the same but, this time, used one of the sentiments that came with the set.  Describes our daughter's sentiment exactly!
