Fancy Holiday Cheer {PP225}

Hi all, I am so excited to share today's card, and the inspiration behind it, with you!  This week I am the hostess over at The Paper Players where it's a Black Tie Theme Challenge.  The challenge is to make holiday projects that are fancy
I had the idea for this card in my head ever since I saw this fabulous card with marquee style letters on the amazing Alison Okamitsu's blog.   I knew I wanted to use this style of letters with the confetti stamp from Dotty Angles so I got to work....
...and I'm pleased to say it came out very much like what I saw in my mind's eye!  Oh this one is fancy, isn't it?!  Gold AND silver heat embossing, loads of pearls, gold foil paper and vellum all adorning black cardstock.  And the base of the card?  Yeah, that's brushed silver cardstock...you guessed it, fancy!
And that banner?  I didn't have a curved banner stamp or die so I made one with two different sized Oval Framelits, snipped off the ends, and popped it up on dimensionals.  Easy but, you guessed it....fancy!  And look close at the picture above.  See where I cut apart the sentiment?  That's so I could fit the large marquee style letters on the banner in between the two sections of the sentiment.  Mounted on the same color cardstock, you can't even see it except through a zoomed camera lens.  How 'bout those letters?  Cut with the Little Letters Framelits from Gold Foil cardstock and then adorned by hand with tiny pearls.  Love!

I hope that you will love this challenge; I know I did.  And judging by the fabulous projects from the rest of the Design Team, I think they did too.  Please be sure to check out all of them this week and say goodbye to our wonderful group of Guest Designers leaving us after this challenge.  It has been great fun working with them and I'm going to miss their creativity, energy and contributions to our team!  Andrea, Claire, Joanne, Laurie and Yapha....THANK YOU!
