A Perfect Blend for a Birthday

Happy Sunday, peeps, and welcome to another week with The Paper Players.  Today is a very special Paper Players day because TODAY is Leanne Pugliese’s birthday!  It is an honor and privilege to know and work with LeAnne.  She’s one of the nicest people in our crafty blog world, has a wicked sense of humor and more creativity in her pinky finger than I have in my whole body--love her!  Happy Birthday, LeAnne!  I hope your day is wonderful.  LeAnne is also our hostess for this week’s sketch challenge:
I’ve never actually had the chance to meet LeAnne in person but if I did, I just know that we would sit talking and laughing over a delicious cuppa!  So, my new Perfect Blend stamp set seemed just the thing to celebrate LeAnne and her wonderful sketch!
Oh boy, lots of new goodies on here some of which are fast-becoming go-to products for me including the Hexagon Punch and the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  The hexagons are punched from Baked Brown Sugar DSP found in the 2013-2015 In-Color Designer Series Paper Stack.
The background cardstock, also Baked Brown Sugar, was inked up with the coffee stain splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and layered with Gumball Green cardstock that was embossed with the new Alphabet Press embossing folder.  The two color combo I had going needed a little POP of something so I added a small oval of Crushed Curry cardstock just the perfect size for the sentiment.  I added some Candy Dots (Soft Suede is a close match for Baked Brown Sugar) and a little flower detail to the latte cup.
I hope you've enjoyed sharing a cuppa with me!  Be sure to pop over to LeAnne's blog to wish her a Happy Birthday and then go check out the rest of my friends on the Paper Players Design Team.  We do hope you'll play along with our sketch this week--just be sure to do so before the challenge closes on Friday, August 2nd at Noon (PDT).  Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, you are so sweet to give me such a "glowing" review.....I am sure it's from all the caffeine I've had today (and every day!)!!! My secret is out, yes I love coffee! This is such a fun card, and I definitely agree that the splatter looks like a coffee spill...but I wouldn't know a thing about that! Love the hexagons too! Love it all--thanks for making my sketch look great and my birthday special!

Nance, it goes without saying that I LOVE this! This is one of my favorite sets from the new catty and you added the perfect details. The little flower on the cup is adorable. I wish Starbucks would add them to their cups...it would make them so much cuter. :)

Nance love this card, and I'm sure LeAnne will love it too. Great colors for the java splash! I really LOVE the Grunge set and I have been inking it up everytime I sit down it seems. Love to work it in with other sets. hugs

Nance, loved how you used the hexagons for the vertical part of the sketch. You finished off the card beautifully on the inside....it could be a card front!
