Up, up and away! I couldn't resist using my newly arrived Balloon Celebration stamp set...love it! First it's photopolymer, therefore totally clear, and I love stamping with those AND it's got the cutest coordinating stamps to layer.
So, this card took me a little longer than I anticipated because a) I was fussing WAY too much about the colors and b) I just can't do random! In the end, I mostly acheived the random whimsical look of the balloons I was after but it was a challenge! I chose some pastel colors, inspired by the challenge badge, for the balloons and ended up with Pool Party, So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate. Do you see that little bit of silver glimmer at the end? Ooooh, that's the new Sale-a-Bration product--Metallics Glitter Tape, oh my! It's like glitter washi tape only a little heavier and lovely to work with!
This little intersection of colors makes me happy--I like the way they play off each other and the little overlay stamp of dots is so cute! I should also mention that it was the clean and simple lines of the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week that inspired the layout for my creation--thanks gals! I'm also linking up to the Global Design Project where their theme is, coincidently, balloons!

LOL! I have a hard time with random too! But you totally rocked the random balloon thing and I love how they are floating by the big sentiment!
Love your random too, I totally get you. The colors and the touch of glitter are PERFECTO!!
Oh, why didn't I order that gorgeous glitter tape, must have glossed right over it!
Anyhow it looks great how you used it and the balloons & colors are adorable. Love that big sentiment too, think I did actually get that one.
Hugs,
Mom
So CUTE! That set does look like fun to stamp with...love the layered look to the balloons, and that new tape is awesome, perfect at the edge of your card.
Have a fun Sunday Nance!
What a fabulous card Nance! I love the colours and the contrast of the large sentiment with the soft, floaty balloons. Just lovely!
Your post made me laugh Nance - I can't do random either!! I just love those floating pastel balloons Nance and they look awesome with that big sentiment. I so need to get me some of that glimmer tape too!!! What a great card - thanks for rocking my CAS challenge this week!
Such an artful card, Nance. These balloons are perfectly placed along the side of this card. Love the way you've showcased the sentiment. I'm so glad you played along with this week's Balloons Theme Challenge at the Global Design Project - thanks!
Nance, what a fabulous way to incorporate all of those challenge! YIPPEE!!!! I love the color combo you selected and your layering of the balloons. I LOL at your comment! I fly by the seat of my pants all the time! I wish I could be "more" organized and planned! Have a fantastic week, My Friend! XX
Isn't it amazing how hard it is to do random? I hear ya girl! But you managed perfectly....this card is total perfection! Great colors and I love the bold sentiment!
So pretty, Nance. I love the clean and simple look you've achieved, but I can tell there is so much thought to every element. Lovely. Thanks for playing with Global Design Project.
Oh Nance I LOVE this card! The balloons and the sparkle make this one special card. Thanks for joining us at FMS this week!
Nance.... this is FANTASTIC!! and how ever you got there it turned out FAB! I love those balloons and thought I got them, however I bought TWO of another bundle by mistake! so they need to wait a while longer for the next order! I really love your touch of sparkle peeking out... very clean design indeed.
PS: I just have to laugh at you, your mom, Bev, and Adrianne (my class gals) about the OCD and not being able to do 'random' anything. When I show them how some of my random comes from when I drop an inked stamp... I wish you could see their faces! PSS:
Can't wait to see you in person...SOON!
Hugs.
Nance I spotted the FMS sketch right away! I love the bit of glitter peeking out the side, and your color combo is awesome!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I knew your card would be a winner, it was my pick too.
Nance, the perfect amount of random! Those balloons are absolutely fabulous and I love how you clustered them on one side. Love it.
Hugs
