A Beautiful Bunch of Color {PP208}

Hello and happy Sunday to you!  I am delighted to be this week's hostess at The Paper Players for a color challenge:
I love color.  I love mixing colors.  I love bold color combinations.  This one might scare a few people--often 4 color combos do.  But that's what a challenge is, right?  Something you might not otherwise do on your own, if not pushed a little bit.  :-)  I saw this photo on Pinterest and fell in love with the colors and texture of these flowers and really just couldn't help but use flowers on my card:
One way to handle a four color combination is to treat the two similar colors almost as one color.  Here, I stamped the flower from Beautiful Bunch in Calypso Coral ink on Blushing Bride cardstock.  The result is a colored flower, with dark highlights that didn't require any extra effort.  Stamping the darker color on lighter cardstock is a quick and easy way to "color" the flowers.  You will notice that the flowers are the only place I used Blushing Bride, while the grey is an accent color and the Hello Honey really makes a statement.
I connected the Hello Honey background to the flowers by pulling the color to the center.  The same flower was stamped again onto Hello Honey cardstock with the same ink color and just the center was punched with the Boho Blossoms punch.  It fits the center of the flower quite well!  I colored some pearls with the darkest Daffodil Delight Blendabilities marker for a shade that is very close to Hello Honey.  And, see the ribbon?  I am in love with using ribbon this way!  Just loop it around and secure the ends with a glue dot behind the flower.  It's a great way to incorporate the honey color again without being too heavy--plus the loopy ribbon is uber trendy right now!
Of course, chevrons are still on-trend and the Chevron background stamp looks so regal when clear embossed.  Such shine!  Such pizzazz!  Love it!
Of course it wouldn't be a Canopy card without a completed inside so I stamped some more flowers in the challenge colors (stamping off once with the Calypso Coral) and added another sentiment from Endless Birthday Wishes.

I hope you've enjoyed my card today.  I just know you will enjoy what the rest of the Design Team is sharing with you.  Be sure to pop by their blogs and say "hi"!    We would love for you to play along with us at The Paper Players before our color challenge closes on Friday, August 15th at Noon (PST).
Thanks for stopping by, friends!
