I saw this great tutorial for a tent card and wanted to combine it with some new stamps and Framelits that arrived this week!
There are certain stamp sets that grab you the minute you see them, right? Be the Star and the coordinating Star Framelits was that set for me. LOVE it! It was the first thing on my order and the first set I inked up! All the stars were embossed with white embossing powder and cut with the Star Framelits. There are lots of fun sentiments in this set too and this one is perfect for our daughter. This little tent card will get tucked into her bag tomorrow as she heads off to Girl Scout camp for the week. She went last year, with a friend but this year she is going all by herself and making friends there. We are so proud of her!
This little card is 4.25" square when folded flat and fits inside an A2 envelope easily. The smallest star was actually cut not with the Star Framelits but with one of the punches in the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack. So cute!
Be sure to hop over to The Paper Players to see what the rest of the DT gals have cooked up for you. We hope that you will join us before the challenge closes on Friday, June 13th at Noon (PDT).

I promised you some photos from our recent trip to Italy so, if you're interested, keep reading! One of the places we stopped for an overnight and a visit was the town of Assisi, birthplace of St. Francis.
The region of Umbria was among our favorite places and the countryside was breathtaking--especially near sunset from the hotel balcony with a a glass of wine in hand....
From Assisi we moved on to Venice but first stopped for a [too] short tour of Spello another Umbrian town. It sure cast a spell on us with it's small winding streets riotous with flowers and endless views from our lunch spot:
And I'll leave you with one more sunset image...this time on a walk back to our hotel in Venice...ah, what a magical city!
Wowza! Awesome card for an awesome little girl, and awesome photos...you could sell some as postcards, they are so beautiful! I am a wee bit jealous, even though I am not a traveler! So glad you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteYour card is absolutely beautiful and I know your daughter will treasure it. So happy for her to take the step to go by herself and make new friends. I remember my daughter going to Nature Camp by herself and I worried for two weeks and she came home just glowing and couldn't stop talking about her new found friends. Please show us more of your trip. Your photos are breathtaking.
ReplyDeletea stunning card & beautiful pictures of Italy...keep sharing, as your photography & stamping is are awesome!

ReplyDeleteShe's such a cutie and now she's really becoming a world traveler (like her parents) ... so she'll handle Girl Scout Camp without at hitch.

ReplyDeleteI came to your blog for your cards (always inspiring) and discovered your lovely photos of Italy. I am married to an Italian-born Australian and we travelled there for the first time 2 years ago. I long to return, but enjoyed reliving happy travels through your photos. Thanks Nance
