Hiya friends! Today LeAnne has a fun challenge over at The Paper Players. LeAnne always rocks the "element of 3"on her cards and today she is challenging us to do the same!
I had an idea in mind and did a little blog surfing for some color inspiration. I can always count on the DT at colourQ for a fabulous color combination and this week's colors were perfect for what I needed:This week I was among the chaperons on a field trip to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo and the Florida Aquarium with our daughter's class. I think it was a success for the kids when after nearly 12 hours they said it was "the best field trip EVER"! For me, the best part was watching our daughter's genuine interest in learning about animals, their habitats and appreciating the beauty of the natural world. I made this card to thank her for such a fantastic day:
Onto the River Rock cardstock, I stamped some Gorgeous Grunge splotches in the coordinating ink. The small Whisper White rectangles are 1.75" x 1.5" and stamped randomly with images from By the Sea stamp set in all four challenge colors.
Do you like how the center image features a mama and daughter seahorse?! :-)
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team over at The Paper Players. I hope you'll join in the fun before the challenge closes on Friday, April 11th at Noon (PST). Have a great day!

Very nice! I love the card and your use of this stamp set. Don't usually like river rock, but it looks great with these stamps and colors!
ReplyDeleteAw, what a lovely way to tell your daughter how much she means to you!!! It looks like it was a fun trip and I definitely love the images you used on your card! Makes me wish for summer EVEN MORE!
ReplyDeleteGreat card. Love seahorses! Can't wait to go to Hawaii as a family and see the coral and fish in person :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww how sweet you are. What a great card too! I didn't notice the mama/daughter seahorses until. I can see now that you pointed it out, that they have the same eyes! Don't know how I missed that!

Beautiful! I love the three stamped sea-themed squares, and the inside is gorgeous, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous inspiration you had for your gorgeous card, Nance! Love the three panels and the assorted sea life, and the bits of gold. I am sure you daughter loved that you made a card for her inspired by her trip!
ReplyDeleteNance, I love that this was inspired by the wonderful field trip. I love this set and haven't bought it yet, but you really have made me think again that I need it!
