Monster Hugs for PP181

Hi everyone and welcome to another week at The Paper Players.  Anne Marie has a fun--and perfectly timed--challenge for us today:
I've had these Monster Hugs valentines since December but just now had the time to play with them!  They were perfect for Anne Marie's challenge:
Isn't this little girl monster adorable?!  OMG!  They're meant as a Valentine all on their own and have a cute tag printed on the back--perfect for giving as is with a little bit of candy.  The kits come with everything you need to make 18 monster Valentines which we will do for DD's class.  But I couldn't resist using this little gal on a card.  I thought the Starburst Framelits coordinated well with her chevron pattern and used the largest one for her to rest on.  Embossing with the Arrows TIEF gives it a little more geometric flair!
Monsters are always hungry, right?  So this little stinker took a couple chomps out of the corner of the card courtesy of the smaller Starburst Framelits.  She couldn't help herself...lol!  She's also a little messy--as monsters can be--and her messy marks look remarkably like the Off the Grid stamp, don'tcha think?!
Her arms unwrap to get to the candy and I did a little stamping (Teeny Tiny Wishes) there too....
I couldn't bear to cut one up but still wanted to complete the inside, so.....I traced the monster onto some Fresh Prints DSP, cut her out and made her an eyeball out of circle punches.  This little Monster Hugs girl Valentine, and the  Monster Hugs boy Valentine, were a special purchase in January but are still available--while supplies last!  They're not just for kids either--all DD's teacher will be getting this special version and I just know they're going to be a hit!  Who can resist a lovable monster?  I just know you won't be able to resist Anne Marie's "sweet" challenge this week either!  Check out the rest of the design team--they've really knocked it out of the park this week!

  2. Nance, when it comes to the cuteness factor you have knocked this one out of the park! I love the little monster girl with her single googly eye, and of course the chomps she took out of the card. Ever better that she holds a chocolate bar. All around adorable!
