Wowza, that's right...a one-layer card. When I thought about what to do with this one, I couldn't get the fabulous label shape from the Everything Eleanor set out of my mind. So I decided to use the masking technique and build my card around the label. Here's what I came up with:
I realize now that I should have stamped the sentiment a little higher...aargh! Anyway, the base is Naturals White and I used the colors of Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede. I think you can figure out what's where, lol! To the label I added floral images and the leaves from Secret Garden.
I stamped the label in Pool Party first, then the small Calypso Coral flower and used a mask to stamp around it with the Daffodil Delight flower and Pear Pizzazz leaves (who else is delighted to see Pear Pizzazz return? OMG!) You can also see that I added a little Silver Dazzling Details to the flower centers.
Keeping it clean and simple, I added another Pool Party label to the inside framing the sentiment I stamped in Soft Suede.
Be sure to check out my teammates over at The Paper Players--they really hit it out of the park this week! I hope you'll consider joining us before our challenge closes on Friday, April 26th at Noon (PDT). Enjoy the rest of your weekend and...thanks for stopping by today!

Beautifully done. Love the flower images.
ReplyDeleteI almost used EE as well! Love the colors and masking, and I think your sentiment is in exactly the right place! I love that you carried the same image to the inside!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Nance! I love the naturals card stock, I had to read your list of ingredients to see if the card had been spritzed. And I am super happy to see Pear Pizzazz back, too!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card Nance. And only one layer!!! Great colors too.

Love your card! It reminds me of a sign on a little general store in Vermont! Rustic background and bright flowers! Just perfect!
ReplyDeleteNance, I love that you masked the base for the flowers. A genius idea. it really adds depth and dimension without adding physical bulk. Your color choices are inspired. Gorgeous card. Thank you for rocking my challenge this week

ReplyDeleteNance - This is beautiful. I love the shape from Everything Eleanor every time I see it. I love what you've done here.
ReplyDeleteI love how you decorated the inside to match the outside. I always neglect that part of my cards- thanks for reminding me to look inside! Your card is wonderful- so colorful and full of character with only using the card base and no layers!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous one-layer goodness right here, Nance! Perfectly stamped with a lovely color combo. You rocked it, yet again, my friend! :)
