Happy hump day, friends! I've got another stamp club card to share with you today.
I was inspired to play along with the great sketch over at Pals Paper Arts. It's been waaaay too long since I joined the PPA fun:
I got out my pack of Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP and got bizzy mixin' and matchin' all those patterns. Here's what I ended up with:
Eeek! I just love this kitty kat especially embossed in Tangerine Tango. Don't you just love her rhinestone collar?! So cute!
And here's how we decorated the inside. Once the girls started stampin' those little frogs, they couldn't stop! There were frogs hoppin all over!
And speakin' of hopping, maybe you'll hop on over to my daughter's blog! I've added a new button on my sidebar that will take you directly there. She posted her first challenge card that she made all by herself! So stinkin' proud, I am! So, thanks for stopping by today friends...full supply list for today's card is listed below...

Roar for a Great Sketch {PP110}
Hey there, friends! Welcome to another week with The Paper Players where our sweet friend, LeAnne has a fantastic sketch for us:
I paired LeAnne's sketch with this week's fresh and funky color combo at ColourQ:
I needed a birthday card for a sweet little boy who is turning 7 next week and these colors seemed perfect for the stamp set I had in mind:
What...you've never seen a Tempting Turquoise brontosaurus? Or the rare breed with a Pumpkin Pie belly? Well, now you have! Arielle's fun colors seem right at home on this little dino friend from the Dinoroar set. With his unexpected Pumpkin Pie toenails, he looks like he walked right out of a children's book. I love the little grass stamp from this set which I stamped in Basic Black using it again with Basic Gray for shading.
I had so much fun playing with these colors and the sketch. I hope my card inspires you to play along with us at The Paper Players this week. Be sure to check out the rest of our fabulous design team and join in the fun by Friday, August 31st at Noon (PST).

Triple Treat for Club
Hey there, friends! Just poppin' in for a quick post to show you a holiday card we made this month at my monthly stamp clubs. The triple stamping technique is a natural for this gorgeous Watercolor Winter stamp set from the Holiday Mini:
This is such a pretty technique and soooo easy. I used a retro inspired color palette of Regal Rose, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and a little bit of Crumb Cake for the background flourish.
I wanted to do something a little different with the triple matting. At the same time, I wanted to add some glitz but without a lot of bulk sooo...enter Champage Glimmer Paper! The champagne hue of the mat really sets off the colors in the center panel.
Greetings of the Season provided the perfect sentiments for both the front and inside of the card. I hope you've enjoyed my Triple Stamping card today--I would love to hear what you think. Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies
Stamps: Watercolor Winter; Greetings of the Season; Creative Elements
Ink: Regal Rose, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
Paper: Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla CS; Champagne Glimmer Paper

It's for Anne Marie afterall...{PP109}
...that was the refrain between my Mom and I every time we asked ourselves if it needed just one more rhinestone, lol! Howdy, friends, and welcome to another week at The Paper Players where our gal pal Anne Marie is hosting a fun challenge!
Paper Piecing! I love paper piecing. Stamping on patterned paper adds an extra element of interest to your stamped image. For this challenge, I knew I wanted to use the new set, Bootiful Occasions, to make a get well card for my dear friend Anne Marie. You may not know that she had surgery on BOTH feet two weeks ago and I thought this set matched her perky personality and love of shoes!

You may not know that she had surgery on BOTH feet two weeks ago and I thought this set matched her perky personality and love of shoes!
So, I kinda missed the boat on the clean-and-simple part but seeing as this was a card for Anne Marie's challenge and for her personally, I couldn't resist kickin' it up a 'notch (sorry, had to)! I started by heat embossing the kickin' cowgirl boot with black embossing powder onto Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist designer patterned paper.
Of course, I had to dress up these boots with graduated rhinestones--those glossy black stars were crying out for some bling! Did I mention this was for Anne Marie? ;-) Anywho, I placed them at a "kicky" angle around a Window Frame Framelit that I pierced with the matching Festive Piercing Pack.
I typed up the inside sentiment on my computer, printed it on Whisper White cardstock and cut to size. A few stamped boots match the front and finish off the inside in style! Anne Marie, I hope this brings a smile to your face and that you're kickin' up yer heels again real soon! And friends, I hope you'll stop on by the rest of The Paper Players design team for some fun inspiration. If you want to play along, just make sure to do so by Friday, August 24th @ Noon (PST). Thanks for stopping by!

The Best Nana Ever! {PP108}
Happy Sunday, friends! Sorry to be a little late with my Paper Players project today.
Sometimes life gets crazy, right? Anywho....It's color challenge week and Ann has a fabulous one for us:
These colors were perfect for a little gift box I needed. See, my wonderful mom is visiting us this week to help while my traveling husband is back in Africa. She will spend the whole week with our daughter while I am at work--we call it "Nana Camp"!
Here is her little Best Nana Ever present! Ann's colors were the perfect match for the Blue Ribbon stamp set that was sitting on my desk crying out for some ink! I paired the Matchbox Die with Crumb Cake & Not Quite Navy,
using the Take a Ticket wheel in Crumb Cake ink on the outside part of the box. I also made a rosette from Crumb Cake DP to sit between the layers of the blue ribbon stamp set. A blue ribbon is so quick and easy with this stamp set because the scallop circle and inside circles all coordinate with a punch--love that!
And, I couldn't forget the inside! Here, I just cut a piece of Not Quite Navy cardstock and scored two lines on both sides to form an insert for the box. I finished it off with another stamp from the set and an Itty Bitty Banner for express our thanks. A little bit of Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon strung between two punched holes made sure that the Pandora little girl bead doesn't roll around in the box. Cute? I sure had fun making this little box--and I am pretty sure it will be big hit!

A Harvest of Thanks {PP107}
Happy Sunday, friends! Delighted you could join me for another week with The Paper Players where I am pleased to host a theme challenge:
I couldn't wait to use the sweet little apples in the Perfectly Preserved stamp set, from the Holiday Mini catalog.
Selecting the colors is so easy when the designer paper--Orchard Harvest used here--leads the way! Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Raspberry Ripple are the perfect combination of country rustic and fresh modern. I used three different patterns of dsp for the banners--consciously selecting smaller patterns that feature one or all of the main colors.
Love the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and it's coordinating Cannery Framelits. I couldn't resist making not one, not two but three Raspberry Ripple apples!
Early Espresso Core'dinations Cardstock makes it easy to create the weathered wood look of the background. After embossing with the Woodgrain embossing folder, a light rub from a sanding block reveals the light colored inner core of the paper. And that cute jar lid? Yep, that's a Framelit too! Stamped in Island Indigo, wrapped in Linen Thread and finished with some Island Indigo ruffled ribbon and secured with a Vintage Trinket safety pin.
So, what do you think? Inspired to join us? Maybe some fabulous projects from the rest of the Design Team will get you thinking Back to School!

A Birthday Tool Shed
Hiya friends! Just a quick post tonight (since Sunday's was a monster one, lol!) to share another card I made with Lesley's fun tic-tac-toe challenge over at The Paper Players. I needed a card for a male co-worker and the blue, dry embossing, masculine elements gave me the creative boost I needed!
These punch art wrenches are all over blogland and is the perfect accent for our very own Mr. Fix-it's birthday card! Of course, a wrench is kept in the tool shed, right? I don't own the Tool Shed background stamp but it's a download in My Digital Studio (MDS)--perfect! In MDS, I made a box (with the square punch shape) about the size of an A2 card front. I colored the box with Crumb Cake, layered the Tool Shed stamp over it and "colored" the stamp in Early Espresso. Then I printed it onto Very Vanilla cardstock, sponged the edges and the result is my own DSP!
How 'bout that Woodgrain embossing folder from the brand-new, just released Holiday Mini catalog? Swoon. You know that was the first thing on my pre-order! I sponged it with some espresso ink to really bring out the deep texture. Love it! Speaking of the Holiday Mini, do you have yours? It's GOR-JUSS!! If you need one, and you're not already working with a demonstrator, let me know and I will mail one to you!
Remember, there's still time to play along with us over at The Paper Players. Check out the Tic-Tac-Toe board and join us before Friday, August 3rd at Noon (PST). Thanks for stopping by!
